REPORT ON THE EXPLOITATION OF WORKERS
A new report on ‘Forced Labour and Migration to the UK’ which describes forced labour and exploitation of immigrant workers in Britain has been completed but has so far not been published because it was blocked by the Government.
A copy of the report has been seen by The Guardian which describes how some employers in the UK force migrants to work in poor conditions and may be subjected to sexual violence, blackmail and low wages.
These practices can apply in food factories, farming, contract cleaning and residential care. It also includes nurses working for the NHS and in private care homes.
